For Your Christmas Table; The Main Event
Christmas is a very special time for me and the family. I spent my first Christmas without my family in 2010 when I spent it with my husbands family. It is really strange experiencing other people’s strong traditions. For example we always decorate the tree on Christmas Eve- but we haven’t had a Christmas in our own home since 2009 so that tradition has kind of been forgotten. However I guess that means as a family we are developing our own traditions- ones our kids will learn to love.
For Your Christmas Table- The Main Event most people eat Roast Turkey. Most of us know how to roast a turkey or there are enough posts you can find on the internet. Personally I am not a massive fan of Turkey and prefer chicken (although I am a massive dark meat fan- are you white or dark meat?). More importantly without an oven (common in Hong Kong for kitchens to only have gas rings) a Turkey is impossible! I wanted to share some yummy alternatives with you. I have also included some nice recipes from a couple of my favourite veggie sites.
